After researching several automatic pet feeders, I settled on the AF108.  I was a little concerned because several reviewers commented that the programming was confusing, and for that reason, I delayed setting it up figuring it would take some time. However, I read through the instructions and was able to program it with no problem and in less than 15 minutes. In fact, I've already re-programmed it to add a feeding time. The unit was larger than I expected it to be, but I don't find that as a problem. It measures 11.5 inches across and approximately 3 inches high. I haven't had any problems yet with my cat being able to pop open the latch on the top to access the food bins. I like that you can record a message to alert your pet that the food is available. I've been careful to not overfill each compartment to avoid problems with the mechanism. I will be using it daily for one feeding during the day when we are at work. I can provide more details as to its reliability after it's been in use for a while.

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, and I would recommend to anyone with a need to feed a pet while they are away.
